Preschool / Elementary
During our 9:30 a.m. worship service, we offer Sunday School for children age 4 through fifth grade.
Weekly Sunday School Schedule:
Students begin in worship with families
Children are invited to go to Sunday School after the Prayer of the Day. At this time, they will play games, sing songs, and hear a lesson that is meaningful to them!
Sunday School Teachers will return children to worship during the Offertory so that they may commune with their families.
Having children in the service is important to us. Inviting them to experience the joy of communal worship and communion while also providing an opportunity for them to hear a meaningful message allows them to build a great relationship with worship and church.
This ministry runs on volunteers. There are prepared lessons and materials available each week. I also encourage you to bring your talents to our ministry. You can follow the provided classroom lesson, do a craft project, teach a song, read a story from our library or take the kids outside for a game. High school students and up may teach, 6th grade and up may assist. If you are a parent who would like to be a part of your child’s faith journey by assisting in the Sunday School Classroom or a volunteer who would like to be a part of this awesome ministry, please contact our Sunday School Director, Laura Frego.
Our Sunday School curriculum is “Whirl Lectionary” for children in preschool through 5th grade (children must be at least 3 years old by September 1st of the current year).
