What to expect at Youth Group
Youth Group is open to all High School Students (9th through 12th grade) and we typically meet on Sunday Nights from 6pm – 8pm. Friends are always welcome! Some weeks we have a fellowship event where we just enjoy being together. During other weeks, we will have a bible study or a service project to do together. We are centered around community, serving, and study.
We know that our students are incredibly busy – we want to make sure that we are feeding them spiritually whenever they can join us. Whether we see them every week, once a month, or they drop-in for special events, we love having them around and pray for them when they’re gone.
We also have an amazing team of high school leaders that plan major events and activities for the whole church! If you’re a high school student and you have an idea about youth group, then click on the leadership team button above to let the team know!
Small Group Nights
On Sunday nights, we will gather at church for a night of open gym games and small group discussion. Students will build meaningful relationships while discussing important and relevant topics and how they relate to our faith lives. Examples of these topics include social media, stress & anxiety, prayer & meditation, relationships and more.
Fellowship Nights
At least once per month, we will be gathering for a night of just fun and friends. Come hang out with us at apple picking and axe throwing, or join us at church for our Friendsgiving meal or Christmas party! Make sure to RSVP and check the event details in your emails or on the St. Timothy Youth Info Site under the High School section. *Some activities require students bring cash to participate. If this may prevent you from participating in fellowship activities, please speak to Pastor Sarah.*
Service Opportunities
Serving together is central to our calling as Christians. There are many fun opportunities to serve together throughout the year. Some of these opportunities include
- Race for Phace
- Sleep Out Saturday
- Caroling
- Spring Bags Tournament Fundraiser
- Vacation Bible School Leadership
- Feed My Starving Children
There are also plenty of ways that students can get involved each week including helping with tech for worship and events, helping in the Nursery, teaching Sunday School, or participating in worship as a reader or assisting minister. Let’s find what you’re passionate about!
