During Advent there are two St. Timothy ministries that provide the opportunity to give back to our community and help others less fortunate than ourselves. St. Timothy has long partnered with Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) in organizing The Giving Tree and also partnered with Mill Street Elementary School families in organizing “Mill Street Cares”.

The Giving Tree –  Once again St. Timothy will help LSSI to provide a bit of Christmas for children in foster care by purchasing gifts for them.  Please consider picking up a nametag for one or more children in the Narthex at the Giving Tree table.  You may shop for one or more items on each childs’ list, wrap them and return them to St. Timothy by Sunday, December 16 with their tag taped on it.
