St. Timothy has a 13 year history of sending volunteer teams to various parts of the country to provide a therapeutic day camp for children impacted by natural disaster. Our St. Tim’s family has been very supportive of this ministry over the years.  After taking a break for 2 years because of the pandemic, we have been asked by Camp Noah Lutheran Social Services of Minnesota if we would be interested in serving again.

As many of you are aware, on June 20th, 2021, the Naperville/Woodridge area sustained damaging winds and tornadoes that impacted over 600 homes. Many of the impacted families continue to rebuild their homes and lives.

This summer, we have a unique opportunity to serve our own community. Not only will we provide the trained Volunteer Staff Team to work with the campers, but St. Timothy will also be the Host Site for the camp.  The day camp will be held at St. Tim’s June 6-10 (typically 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.).

What a great opportunity to serve and live out our mission at St. Tim’s to “Live the Love of Christ!”

If you think that you would be interested in helping this June, please link through to the Camp Noah page on St. Tim’s website where you will find lots of good information.
