Why St. Timothy Lutheran Church?

We want to live the love of Christ, and all are welcome.  We are a caring community blessed by the tools God gave us, and we want to make a difference in our lives and the lives of others.

What are the differences between the services?

During the school year we offer two worship services, one at 5pm on Saturday evening and the other at 9:30am on Sunday morning. The 5pm service is contemplative, full of song, and focuses on evening prayer. The 9:30am service incorporates all types of music from our chancel choir and organ to our band and instrumentalists. During the summer, we offer an informal service outside at 8am as well. Communion is offered each week at all services. All are welcome.

How should I dress?

All services are casual. Please be comfortable.  Some wear suits and others wear jeans.  God does not care what you wear.

What about my kids?

Children are welcome at all worship services. However, the nursery is open and available for parents and infants.

How can I learn more?

The best way to start is to worship with us.  Ask members about St. Timothy Lutheran Church and the programs we offer.  We have programs for children and youth, social service, music, witness, faith development and more.  Please ask any member or call our office at 630/355-1330 for more information.

I would like to speak with a pastor.  What do I do?

You may call the church at 630/355-1330 and ask to speak with a pastor or mention your request to the pastor before or after service.

What is St. Timothy doing about Covid-19?

Our continued goal at St. Timothy is to provide a safe environment for all who gather and worship. Our Health and Wellness committee, along with our church council, will continue to follow the current CDC guidelines and recommendations. The CDC guidelines state masks are optional based on the low risk of occurrence in the DuPage County area. Members may choose to wear, or not to wear, a mask while participating in church services or events. Please be respectful of others no matter what your choice. We encourage you to stay home if you or a family member are sick, have any symptoms or have been in recent contact with an individual who tested positive for Covid.
